Options

One of the unique options will be to have a grey water and black water waste system. sink and shower water can go to the garden and the toilet can go into a blackwater tank to be taken away and disposed of elsewhere. This works good for isolated locations. We can also get composting toilets that convert toilet waste into fertilizer, safe and non-polluting.

We will also feature a solar power option that will take care of lighting and water pumps to use with a cistern or other storage tank system. That will allow the conservation minded to limit the amount of actual energy consumption, especially if they want to be off the grid. Again, this works great for for those who want to plant them out in the woods or by the pond, far away from the utilities that most people are tied to for survival. Of course in Texas, you may still need a generator for the air conditioning.

We offer a wide selection of interior woods ranging from Cypress, Long Leaf Pine, Oaks, Northern Pines, and Mesquite. From the flooring to the walls and ceilings, Tiny Texas Houses are solid wood, and built to last 100 years. The exterior sidings come in a variety of classic styles and woods that will outlast any of the new wood siding on the market.

The roof materials will range from the antique corrugated for the ranch style to a 50 year top of the line dimensional shingle that will look great and last far longer than a cheap 3 tab shingle. Our insulation in the roof and walls is excellent, even for the heat of Texas and we can also offer a subfloor insulation as an additional option.

The porches are available in various sizes though we generally build the models with the size we feel will fit best, we can customize them as we build them for each client, including gingerbread and various styles of posts, porch railings, and ceiling treatments.

The bathrooms are available with showers, but on the larger models we offer unique 4' or 4 1/2' foot tubs that add a great deal of charm, though not alot of comfort for those who are 6' tall.

Exterior and interior colors are entirely optional, and we offer newer paints as well as classic milk paints that are the most environmentally friendly. We normally treat the wood interiors with Tung oil, including the floors, a process that has been around for a couple thousand years. It is low maintenance and will last for years.

The cabinets for the kitchenet area and the shelves are all custom and allow for maximizing storage areas to each clients needs. While the Tiny Houses are not meant for permanent housing, it is great for minimalist oriented people who don't have alot of material assets that require alot of space.

Basically, we aim to please and if you want it, we can produce it for you. If not, most likely no one else can do it either.
